Google: Software Engineer

Google is growing and has opened a Pittsburgh office! We're hiring world-class Software Engineers in Pittsburgh to develop the next generation search engine.

Our Pittsburgh engineering team will work on problems in a number of areas, including cutting-edge information retrieval algorithms, machine learning, scalability issues related to dealing with huge amounts of data and a rapidly increasing user population as well as a variety of novel search features.

Engineers will have the opportunity to visit Google offices in California and New York to collaborate with other engineers there.

Requirements:

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent (Ph.D. a plus).

Google: Administrative Assistant

We're looking for a dynamic, high-energy individual to support our engineering office in Pittsburgh.

The ideal candidate will play a central role in keeping the business operations/activities organized, on-track and moving forward. Candidates must have exceptional communication skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, excellent judgment, feel comfortable juggling tasks from the mundane to the more strategic, and can work productively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a smile and a sense of humor.

Responsibilities:

  • Administrative tasks including:
    • Schedule management, calendar maintenance.

The Facilities Manager will be responsible for setting up and providing facilities services.

  • Facilities:

Google's new Pittsburgh Office is growing! We need world-class statisticians to work on interesting (and often very big!) data analysis problems. Google Pittsburgh wishes to hire a core group of outstanding statisticians to work among a highly talented group of software engineers, researchers and statistical machine learning practitioners to solve a variety of analytical problems critical to Google's continued growth and success.
