A basic understanding of most of the following areas, with advanced understanding and a minimum of 8 years experience in at least two areas:

Job Function - Design / Development

Scope of Responsibilities / Expectations

Develop big picture design direction for projects, including the vision for the user experience and component interaction, as well as documentation, training, and general communication — both internal and external. Research and integrate design strategies, product specifications, and user expectations into product capabilities. Develop and use standard user scenarios to test and validate designs. Provide design leadership to lower-level information designers. Interact with customers, vendors, and external development partners. Functional Responsibilities: Distill complex problems into their atomic elements, and then re-build them into meaningful, and accessible software solutions. Easily move between developing independent designs and leading group brainstorming and problem solving exercises. Manage and exceed expectations. Communicate the aggregate vision of multiple projects at any time. Provide accessible, proactive, and communicative design support to multiple development efforts.

Specific Knowledge

  • BA/BS degree required, MA/MS desired
  • 10+ years experience
  • Comprehensive understanding of the principles of human computer interaction
  • Understanding of interaction design, visual interaction design and/or interaction requirements analysis
  • Macintosh or PC power-user
  • Expert skills in photoshop, illustrator, freehand, and or visio (director, flash, premiere/final cut – a plus)
  • Ability to use any commercial software package that is necessary to effectively communicate project designs, concepts and vision.
  • Applicant must be capable of obtaining a US Security Clearance.
  • Applicant must be a US Citizen.

Technical Support is integral to the operations of the Viz by ensuring that Viz's products and services meet the evolving needs of our customers. We are looking to hire a developer/analyst to join our Technical Support group to support a production application.

Duties:

  • Act as a customer liaison to ensure questions are responded to and needs are met.
  • Document and track progress of customer support requests.
  • Ability to translate support experiences into development requirements and/or standard operating procedures.
  • Configure, Test and deliver Viz software – front and back end - per requirements.
  • Coordinate and participate in the definition, testing, and delivery of software enhancements.
  • Test and Debug Viz software at customer site during testing and deployment phases of projects.
  • Analyze customer requirements and assist in documentation of business requirements that define how the system will be deployed.
  • Attend customer meetings.
  • Document customer requests and all responses to those requests.
  • Assist Viz software teams and customers to baseline current operational practices and procedures.
  • Develop and Conduct customer specific training sessions as needed.
  • Develop, as necessary, internal and external documentation.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years in a technical role within a Java/JSP environment.
  • Typical background includes a BS/MS in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with Fielding Java and XML based implementations; Experience with 64 bit Unix deployments; Basic knowledge of Java garbage collection; Experience with server side technologies; HTML, JavaScript and other client side technologies; Experience in writing scripts in Perl, Bash, etc.; Oracle DB; SQL experience a plus

Skills:

  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced rapid-development environment.
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills are required.
  • Must be able to quickly assess problems and determine proper steps to resolution.
  • Strong planning and time management skills are required. Must be able to manage multiple tasks and have experience in effective time management in mid to large sized projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills are required. Ability to work well with a wide variety of people with varying technical skill sets and business knowledge is required.
  • Interact directly with customer representatives in a professional manner.
  • Must be a highly motivated self starter, takes direction and makes independent progress towards solutions
  • Strong technical and analytical skills.
  • Passion for both technology and customer service.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Well organized with effective time management skills.
  • Desire to learn new technologies.
  • Previous military experience is a plus.
  • Travel approx 20%

Duties Include:

  1. Review of daily edit reports for insurace companies.
  2. Ensure claims are submittied timely, check claim status via internet, work complex problems, and denied claims.
  3. Keep a handle on AR
  4. Speak with providers when needed, handle differnt levels of calls, and train new staff.

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years experience in HME/IV billing
  • High School Diploma
  • Accurate alpha/numeric data entry ability
