LunaMetrics, LLC: Web Analyst
We’re looking for someone who loves the web and loves its measurability to become a Web Analyst (full time). That means, you’ll get to work with web analytics, multivariate testing and conversion science. This is a unique combination of technical and marketing. You need to have a great attitude, be a lifelong learner and love to measure things. We desperately need our new analyst to already have strong technical experience – even if it’s experience you cultivated by doing your own thing.
Typical projects you will work on include:
- Helping customers install web analytics, refining the metrics so that they measure what the customer needs to see, creating analyses and making recommendations based on those reports.
- Educating customers to understand site metrics and usability.
- Looking at web pages and spotting trouble spots
- Defining, executing and analyzing tests to define best "convince me to buy solutions" and improve customer satisfaction scores. Testing may include online surveys, lab user testing, or multivariate (MVT) testing on the live sites.
- Staying current with various software packages, especially Google Analytics. (We are the only Google Analytics Authorized Consultant between Chicago and Philadelphia.)
- You will also get a chance to work in other areas of our business (SEO, pay per click, email marketing) but web analysis and “conversion science” – getting the visitor to take action on a website – will be your primary areas.
Requirements: You can do the technology behind websites – the server side includes, the .htaccess file, the Javascript and XML. You're pretty good with database and CMS integration as well. You’re always checking out the latest tech trends on the Internet and implementing them just to see how they work. You love to measure things. You’re a lifelong learner with an incredible “can do” attitude and a lot of curiosity. In your cover letter, please explain why you love analytics and point to something in your background that makes it clear what a “measurable marketing person” you are. Also, please indicate much you need to get paid. Letters that don’t include salary requirements won’t be considered.
Travel: There isn’t a lot of travel, but you have to go to the Googleplex in Mountain View once a year, minimum, for training. Plus, you’ll want to go to some conferences (after all, you’re a lifelong learner, right?)
Benefits: Health care, dental, vision, short and long term disability, retirement plan, paid vacation, free parking.
