Vivísimo: Java Developer

Vivísimo seeks a Java Developer to help integrate the Velocity platform with external systems. This position requires both strong programming talent and the ability to rapidly learn new technologies.

Position Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge and experience with Java programming
  • Knowledge of Web technologies (Web Servers, HTTP, etc.)
  • Knowledge of XML technologies (XPath, XSL, Schemas, SOAP, etc.)
  • Ability to work both on Unix and Windows

Other pluses:

  • Experience with enterprise applications (Exchange, Sharepoint, Documentum, Lotus Notes, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
  • Experience with complex IT environments (Security, Authentication, SSO, Network Storage, Backup, etc.)
  • Experience with search engines, text mining or information visualization, information extraction, XML databases, etc.
  • Experience with C/C++ programming
  • Technical curiosity and perseverance
  • 2 to 5 years relevant work experience highly desirable

PNC Bank: Software Engineer IV

PNC Is searching for a self motivated, high energy candidate with excellent problem solving, analytical and organizational skills. Candidate must be a key team player, results oriented, highly innovative, works independently, and has a good attitude and should be focused on delivering high quality results. This is a tremendous opportunity to join a very dynamic team atmosphere. Normally requires a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. Master's degree is preferred.

Senior-level expertise in all components of user interface design is essential (both aesthetic and navigational aspects). Proficiency in HTML, CSS, AJAX, Adobe Flex and JavaScript is required; Java / JSP familiarity is desirable. Extensive knowledge of related Web site management software & tools is needed (e.g., Flash, .PDF, standard image file formats, RSS, etc).

Other key criteria include: Excellent interpersonal skills; experience working with clients from conceptualization to deployment; excellent teamwork; exposure to the methodologies associated with large-scale, multi-tier systems deployment; Web site management experience.

Proven ability to conduct successful prototyping and customer feedback sessions / focus groups is desired.

This position will be responsible for Web user interface design and development to create a unique, differentiated on-line banking customer experience for PNC. This individual must be highly-motivated, energetic and thrive in a challenging, fast-paced environment. He/She should have strong user interaction design experience using Web 2.0 technologies. This individual will be responsible for interfacing with LOB customers from a variety of business segments to conduct interactive design sessions and ensure that graphic and design efforts are documented.

Employee will participate in and lead all segments of the presentation design for both Web sites and Web-based applications; this may include treatments, mock-ups, prototyping, screen specification, front-end development, and QA. Employee may be responsible for conducting and/or supporting customer focus groups.
